RO: Instalația in situ a artistului Marius Bercea amplasată în spațiul artă.nonstop este intitulată „Jurnal 2D jumate”. Aici artistul lucrează atât cu formele bidimensionale, cât și cu cele tridimensionale iar ideea din spatele lucrării provine din senzația de pustietate pe care am simțit-o cu toții în ultimii ani, senzație pe care o asociază cu imagini din deșertul Mojave. Lucrarea pornește de la o serie de imagini tipice reclamelor americane ale anilor ‘60, asociate cu diferite imagini și figurine recurente în practica sa. Prin utilizarea vitrinei ca mod de afișaj al lucrării, el face referire la expunerea pantofarilor și croitorilor din timpul copilăriei sale. Prin toate aceste elemente, preluate din diverse contexte familiare, lucrarea prezintă un labirint domestic prin care publicul se poate identifica. – Georgia Țidorescu
EN: Marius Bercea’s site-specific installation in the arta.nonstop space is entitled 2D And A Half Journal. Here, the artist works with both two and three-dimensional shapes, and the idea behind the work comes from the desolation we all felt in recent years and, a desolation that he associates with the images from the Mojave Desert. The work uses a series of images and figures, representative of American advertisements from the 1960s, and associated with various recurring images and figures in his practice. By using the window as a display mode, he alludes to the way in which the shoemakers and tailors exposed their products during his childhood. Through all these elements, taken from various familiar contexts, the work presents a domestic labyrinth with which the audience can identify with. – Georgia Țidorescu
